Born in Berlin in 1958, Andreas Liebing is the founder and initiator of StoneOne and has been one of Germany’s leading IT experts for 20 years now.
Already during his student years at the TU Berlin (majoring in Math and Computer Science), Andreas Liebing explored central management of secure information and the structuring of operating systems. After graduating, he gained practical experience at Schering, Nixdorf, Stiftung Warentest and the Berlin software company MIS, where he contributed to developing the award-winning Papyrus word processing system as project manager. In 1985 he then established his first own business, Liebing&Ullfors GmbH, from which later emerged WIN!DMS GmbH, a company specialized in document management and archiving, and SAPERION AG in 1992.
In the first few years, Andreas Liebing was also a member of the board of directors at the Fördergemeinschaft Junger Unternehmer (FJU), an association dedicated to supporting young entrepreneurs.
In 2004 Andreas Liebing was nominated ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and came in second.
Andreas Liebing is an ardent science fiction fan and enjoys spending his spare time sailing, reading as well as playing chess and Go. |
